Mother's Day Card - Front Cover
This year I decided to create a Mother's Day card for my mom. My mom likes ducks so I wanted to create a character that showcased her personality as a duck. She likes dying her hair crazy colors, loves wearing sneakers and is into skulls.
This allowed me the opportunity to experiment with different techniques in Adobe Illustrator I don't always need to use at my job. I also wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone by using fonts that have a fun personality.

Package Design Front
This was a test for a freelance position where I had to design a front of a package of this product.
Unfortunately it turned out to be a scam. I still learned a lot from this experience.

Press Release
This was a press release I was asked to do for Page & Smith Opticians. They are an upscale eyeglass store. The owner provided me the photographs and the copy. After thinking about what would capture the essence of this store best, I came up with a classy and upscale design that's clean and sophisticated.

Business Card
For my business card, I wanted it to relate to the website. I achieved this by using similar graphics/color schemes. I also wanted to demonstrate my illustration skills by showing the vector drawing of my face.

Magazine Cover
Years ago, I was the principal editor/designer for my college magazine called Mixed Media. I decided to redesign the cover and push the concept I had further.
The story behind this was that I was angry that the initial help I had dropped out at the last minute and I had to design the entire magazine myself.

Letterhead
A salesman at ABI Research requested custom letterhead so that he can handwrite letters and mail them to potential clients about the services we offer.
After brainstorming, I used the same squares that were used on the brochures and business cards to unify the companies brand. I also made it clean and functional.

Teardowns Graphic
This was a graphic ABI Research needed for their website that represented their Teardowns section.
This section shows high resolution images of separate parts of mobile phones or tablets. Clients pay a fee in order to see each part of the device to determine how it was built.
The solution for this graphic was to show a section of the original phone and then show what the inside of the phone looks like.
It was later used in print materials as well.

Logo Redesign
I had the opportunity to redesign ABI Research's logo.
The challenge was to come up with a new logo that represented the company in a more elegant and sophisticated way. After a bunch of brainstorming and sketching out concepts, I came to the conclusion that all they needed was a simple font change.
I chose the font Avenir because it's clean, modern, sophisticated and it also means "future" in french. Since the company analyzes marketing trends for the future, I felt this was a great fit.

Practice Icons
The chief research officer wanted each practice the company covers to be represented by an icon that could be used for both print and web marketing materials.
The challenge was to come up with imagery that was recongizable at very small sizes. I also had to simplify the imagery down to simple shapes and represent them in one color.
The solution was met by using photo reference and finding the right image for each practice. They can also be used in large sizes as well because they are vector based. This means they can be scaled up without losing it's resolution.

Autonomous Driving Graphic
This was a graphic image ABI Research needs for an upcoming sector brochure covering the different services they cover for Autonomous Driving. Autonomous Driving is new technology in cars that will allow them to drive themselves through the use of sensors. These sensors detect other cars on the road.

When I worked at US Mortgage Corporation, one of my tasks was to design a flyer of a subdivision of their company called The Partner Branch Advantage. I was given the copy and it was my job to lay out the information and find the right stock images.
